30 Days: Day 21a – #NRC

Do you ever have days when your body just will not work with you? You try to get up early to get your priorities accomplished, but your body wants to sleep. Other times you do everything in your power to complete another workout, however, when you get up to get it done, your body says, nope, it’s time to sit down. This is exactly what my day was like yesterday. As a result, I posted 0 miles. Today was another story.

Throughout the day, I was eager to take the new Nike Run Club (NRC) app out for a test run. To my dismay, when my phone updated from the old app, I lost about 20 miles of running data and sneaker information. Fortunately, that was the worst of it. It only took a small amount of effort to get my settings how I wanted. Unfortunately, I noticed that some of the features that I used often were no longer there. Even though I’m a little bummed about that, It didn’t deter from getting a few miles in. Today, I was able to get 2 More miles in the books

30 Days: Day 20a

With yesterday’s rain storm, I didn’t get to go out for a run. While I prepared to leave, I heard the thunder.  I thought I’d be able to get 2 miles done before the rain started. After the weather said it would be raining all day… and so far so good.  Then saw the lightning!  Moments the rain started and I knew it wasn’t going to happen. So, Mother Nature has given me a rest day.

With all of the running around and homework I had to do today, I really hoped to be able to go for a run today. Even if only a short one! My last 2 runs were completely pain-free, and I was eager to see if the trend would continue.  Lo, and behold It was.  This was my third run in a row that there was no pain.  A few more runs like this and I’ll be able to start building on mileage!

itBit’s Auto exercise tracking of my run

My 2-mile run turned into a 2.5-mile run. I almost didn’t want to stop. After a short stretch with Fitness Blender, I was ready to take on the rest of my day.
I continue to test the FitBit Blaze although, I wasn’t too impressed with the way the app tracked my run.  Today, I used the Nike app to actually track the run,  and let FitBit auto track my movement.  Since Nike and FitBit do not talk to each other, this was the best solution so that I do not lose my run data from Nike and TomTom watch, I have too many runs loaded to completely let it go completely.
