Back in the day, we used to watch the cartoons where, by the end of the show, things were alway good and peachy! Problems were always resolved, and life alway had a happy ending. But, things are not like that in real life. Sometimes negativity happens and it doesn’t always work itself out; or does it?
I like to believe that everything that we experience happens to us for a reason and it is up to us to frame that experience to position ourselves for greater success. Over the past couple of months, for example, I’ve experienced some major issues with my website between losing data, corrupt files and other computer based malfunctions that left me questioning is it really worth it. It even got to the point that I simply let the entire site get taken down. But, today a message in a podcast reminded me of something my Uncle used to say. Something that encouraged me to keep moving toward my goal.

The message was from Pastor Joel Olsteen. He said, if you are able to hold on through the adversity, your blessing will come! I heard another author put it this way, we are all one action away from the success that we want but, we give up too early and forfeit everything that we have worked so hard for.
When dealing with setbacks, My Uncle framed it like this. “A setback is just a setup for a comeback.” All you have to do is hang in there. If you are doing everything you know to do, in order to succeed. Joel Olsteen says, “hold on your due season is coming.”
So, remember that when you are dealing with things that you feel are working against you achieving your goals. There is something there for you to learn. So you can come out victorious on the other side.
