An innovative move met with criticism

On January 26 1997, the New York times published an article about a San Francisco library and its innovative move to add more computers and digital content to the library.   read the article

Today digital content,  computer stations and computer aided library searches fill the library system as a cooperative method to conduct research and pleasure reading.   Libraries are connected to a vast system that allows books not located in the libraries, to be found and borrowed in other libraries.   We also have devices such as Kindles, Nooks, Ipad’s which Library’s offer services for, as well as alternative methods of checking out a book via the internet.

The article criticized the San Francisco library’s move but, a just few short years, look how far we’ve come.
